Tower Motorsport has signed Will Stevens to complete its LMP2 driver lineup for the third round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup at Watkins Glen next month.

Stevens, who drives for Hertz Team JOTA in the FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar class, will share the No. 8 Oreca 07 Gibson with John Farano and Kyffin Simpson in the six-hour race on June 25.

The British driver is returning to Tower after joining the team at Mid-Ohio last year as a substitute for Louis Deletraz.

He also made two Endurance Cup appearances with Wayne Taylor Racing in the final season of the DPi class, alongside his ongoing WEC commitments with JOTA.

“I’m really looking forward to being back with John and Tower Motorsport, especially at such a great track like Watkins Glen,” said Stevens.

“I enjoyed working with them a lot last year, it will be great to be back with the team.

“This will be my first time working with Kyffin Simpson but I know he’s been doing a great job so far this season. We have a really strong driver lineup and I’m confident that we’ll hit the ground running as a trio.

“We’ll be approaching this event with one collective goal in mind, and our objective is to win. The team has had a very successful start to the season and I will be doing my very best to keep them on that trend.”

Tower Motorsport started the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season with NTT IndyCar Series stars Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin partnering with Farano and Simpson for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

McLaughlin stayed on for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and helped the team to victory in LMP2 and third place overall.

However, Tower has opted for a different headline driver for the third Endurance Cup round, which takes place on the weekend between IndyCar races at Road America and Mid-Ohio.

“We are thrilled to have Will Stevens back with us,” said Farano.

“It was wonderful to work with him last year and I’m looking forward to continuing our journey together. He’s a great driver and we feel very privileged to have someone of his caliber and expertise with us for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

“I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off and hopefully we will bring home a great result together.”
