Stock Car Brasil star Gabriel Casagrande will join Risi Competizione’s lineup for next month’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The 28-year-old, who won the highly competitive championship in 2021, is set for his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut in the Houston-based squad’s Ferrari 296 GT3 alongside Ferrari factory drivers Davide Rigon and Daniel Serra.

Casagrande also has experience in Porsche Cup Brasil and GT Sprint Brasil competition.

“We’ve added a young Brazilian driver, Gabriel Casagrande, to drive alongside [Davide and Daniel],” said team principal Giuseppe Risi.

“Again, this year will be a double weekend with WEC and we’re looking forward to getting back to a special track that we have some good memories and victories since our first year racing in 1998.”

Risi’s Sebring lineup includes Rigon and Serra, who are not part of the Italian manufacturer’s FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar class program.

Ferrari has typically not permitted its drivers to contest both the 1000 Miles of Sebring and 12-hour contest, which occur on back-to-back days.

Floorboard damage resulted in early race retirement for the No. 62 Ferrari in last month’s season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona. Risi is again registered to contest the Michelin Endurance Cup races this year.
