MOMO NGT Motorsport will have a revised lineup for next weekend’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona as Nicki Thiim has replaced Frederic Makowiecki at the wheel of its Porsche 911 GT America.

The 2013 Porsche Supercup champion, who also contested a partial season of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Aston Martin Racing, will join Christina Nielsen and full-season drivers Henrique Cisneros and Kuba Giermaziak in the GTD contender.

Makowiecki, who was recently signed as a Porsche factory driver, drove at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 with the Florida-based team but did not take in Porsche’s pre-season training camp this month. It’s unclear the reason for the driver shakeup.

The MOMO-backed NGT Porsche is one of 29 cars set to do battle in the highly competitive GTD class.
