United Autosports has confirmed the driver lineups for its two Oreca 07 Gibsons that will tackle January’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, as the Anglo-American team looks to defend its LMP2 class win from this year.

The Mooresville, N.C.-based operation, which will return for a third full season campaign in the class, had already confirmed Bronze-rated drivers Phil Fayer (No. 2) and Daniel Goldburg (No. 22) for the seven-round championship.

It has added team veteran Ben Hanley, as well Mikkel Jensen and Hunter McElrea to Fayer’s entry for the season-opener, while Paul di Resta and Rasmus Lindh will look to defend their Rolex 24 class win with Goldburg and new addition Gregoire Saucy to the No. 22 car.

Jensen, an ex-Peugeot FIA World Endurance Championship driver and Silver-rated McElrea, shift from TDS Racing’s Michelin Endurance Cup championship-winning effort that featured Steven Thomas, who is expected to move onto European Le Mans Series competition in 2026.

The move for Jensen to United, which will operate McLaren’s Hypercar program in 2027, is believed to gain experience with the team ahead of his signing with the British manufacturer in WEC competition.

United has not yet confirmed Fayer and Goldburg’s full-time co-drivers, although it’s believed to be Hanley and di Resta.

“Winning the 24 Hours of Daytona is a monumental achievement, and one which we are extremely proud of,” said team CEO Richard Dean.

“Going for back-to-back victories is bold but with two driver line-ups that combine proven, race-winning United Autosports names and formidable new additions to the team, we are putting ourselves in the strongest possible position to lift that trophy once again in 2026.”
