Daniel Morad and Elias De La Torre have been declared winners in the second Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America round of the weekend at Watkins Glen International, in a race that was red-flagged for more than 20 minutes after a violent three-car crash and ended under the safety car due to another late-race incident.

Saturday’s chaotic contest also saw officials park a driver while two others were transported to hospitals.

De La Torre, in the No. 29 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, led from the start until the race initially came under full-course yellow, before quickly turning red after a massive accident in the Esses that was triggered by Luke Berkeley, whose No. 73 Breathless Racing entry made contact with the No. 46 Precision Performance Motorsports Lamborghini of Brandon Gdovic.

Gdovic spun into the barriers and collected by both Avery Towns and James Lawley’s fellow Pro class entries, resulting in the track nearly being completely blocked and three nearly or totally-damaged cars.

The PPM driver was transported to a local hospital, along with Topp Racing driver Towns.

Lawley was evaluated and released from the infield medical center, with all three drivers reported by IMSA to have been awake and alert.

Berkeley, meanwhile, was barred from any further running in the race, with race control informing the car to “cease participation” due to “unjustifiable risk.”

A Lamborghini spokesperson confirmed to Sportscar365 on Sunday morning that the incident has been since placed under further review, pending additional investigations.

The race restarted with 19 minutes to go but fell under a second yellow just seven minutes later for an incident involving three cars in Turn 8.

The race did not resume, and the first seven cars that took the checkered flag were all assessed 95-second post-race time penalties due to not serving the mandatory pit stop.

The pit window, which was delayed amid the red, only opened one lap after the initial restart.

Additionally, two cars, the No. 33 XONINE Lamborghini of Will Bamber and the No. 99 Topp Racing entry of Rocky T. Bolduc, were served with 0.154-second and 0.207-second post-race time penalties, respectively, for having short pit stops.

The No. 12 RAFA Racing Team Lamborghini of Tyler Gonzalez and Kiko Porto was provisionally classified in second overall, with Bamber and Darius Trinka’s No. 33 XONINE entry completing the Pro class podium.

Pro-Am saw Danny Formal and Graham Doyle’s class win streak continue with a fifth place overall result, while Anthony Bullock took top class honors in Am.

Bolduc, of Topp Racing, meanwhile, provisionally took the LB Cup win despite the post-race penalty.

RESULTS: Race 2 (Provisional)

This report was updated on Sunday, June 28 2026 at 9:15 a.m. EST to reflect that incident involving Luke Berkeley has been placed under further review by race control and Lamborghini.
