WIN Autosport has added a LMP3 entry for this weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, boosting the overall car count to 37 entries for the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

The new-for-2021 operation, which debuted its LMP2 entry in January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, will expand into a two-car prototype operation with the addition of the No. 83 Duqueine D08 Nissan for Matt Bell, Rodrigo Sales and Niklas Kruetten.

It will result in a seven-car class for the LMP3 category, which along with LMP2, begins its season-long points haul this weekend.

WIN’s LMP2 entry, driven by Tristan Nunez, Steven Thomas and Thomas Merrill along with Bell, finished fifth in class at Daytona after leading portions of the race.

It will return to the LMP2 ranks as a three-driver lineup for Saturday’s race, minus Bell.

Forty7 Motorsports Firms Up Sebring Lineup

Another LMP3 squad, Forty7 Motorsports, has also finalized its lineup ahead of the start of on-track activity.

Austin McCusker, who was originally the only driver listed on the entry list in the No. 7 Duqueine, is expected to be joined by Oliver Askew and Jim Norman.

Askew was part of the class-winning lineup in the Rolex 24 with Riley Motorsports.

Track action for WeatherTech Championship competitors kicks off on Thursday.
