Former Fanatec GT World Challenge America Am class champion Martin Fuentes will make his return to Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competition as part of a reshuffled lineup for TR3 Racing in this weekend’s rounds at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Fuentes has been confirmed in the team’s No. 29 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 alongside Porsche Carrera Cup North America competitor Peter Ludwig for the pair of 50-minute races.
The duo, competing in the Am class, effectively take over the entry that was driven by Elias Da La Torre in the Pro category in recent races.
De La Torre will focus on his Carrera Cup North America drive this weekend, also at The Brickyard, but will return to TR3 and Super Trofeo competition to contest the Lamborghini World Finals in November.
The Florida-based team currently leads the Pro championship with its No. 88 Lamborghini driven by Giano Taurino and Ernie Francis Jr, with Rodrigo Vales second in the LB Cup standings.
TR3 will also welcome back Clay Wilson, to drive the No. 33 entry this weekend.
