Brandon Gdovic was quickest of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competitors following a pair of weekend-opening practice sessions Friday at Virginia International Raceway.

The Precision Performance Motorsports driver reeled off a fast lap of 1:46.533 in his No. 46 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo in the opening session to edge out the Pro-Am class No. 24 US RaceTronics entry of Leo Lamelas by 0.139 seconds.

Madison Snow, racing solo this weekend, was third quickest overall and on the day in his No. 16 Change Racing entry, followed by the No. 6 US RaceTronics Lamborghini of Steven Aghakhani in fourth.

Stuart Middelton, in the No. 1 Prestige Performance/Wayne Taylor Racing entry, completed the top-five overall.

Lance Willsey was quickest in the Am class in his No. 53 WTR entry while Sydney McKee paced LB Cup in her Prestige/WTR machine.

All of the top times were set in the morning session, with only four of the expanded grid of 16 car turning laps in the rain-soaked afternoon.

The debuting No. 13 ANSA Motorsports Lamborghini of Neil Alberico and Sergio Jimenez was quickest in the wet second session, thanks to a 2:05.684 lap time.

It was some five seconds faster than the competition in the session.

Qualifying is set to get underway Saturday at 8 a.m. ET, followed by Race 1 at 11:50 a.m., with live coverage on IMSA.com/TVLive.
