Nico Jamin and Stevan McAleer have claimed overall pole positions for this weekend’s opening rounds of Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America at Circuit of The Americas.
Saturday morning’s pair of 15-minute qualifying sessions, run on a wet track, saw ANSA Motorsports’ Jamin go quickest in Q1 thanks to a 2:21.875 lap time.
It was 0.312 seconds quicker than defending champion Madison Snow in the No. 16 Change Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo.
Richard Antinucci will start third in Race 1 in his No. 27 Dream Racing Motorsport Lamborghini
Antinucci was denied pole for Race 2 in the closing seconds of Q2, which saw McAleer put his No. 16 Change Lamborghini to the top of the time sheets thanks to a 2:21.477 lap time.
It was 0.128 seconds quicker than the Dream Racing Motorsport driver.
Claude Senhoreti qualified third overall in Q2 and was best of the Pro-Am class competitors in his Taurino Racing Lamborghini.
Dream’s Luca Persiani, meanwhile scored the Pro-Am class pole for Race 1, while Trevor Andrusko (TPC Racing) and Giano Taurino (Taurino Racing) picked up the Am class poles.
LB Cup pole honors went to Michael Mennella in the No. 4 MCR Racing Lamborghini and the No. 47 Precision Performance Motorsports entry of Terry Olsen for Race 1 and 2, respectively.
