Charlie Martin will contest this year’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season, competing alongside co-driver Jason Keats.

The duo will run for LB Cup honors in a Dream Racing-prepared Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 beginning with next weekend’s season-opener at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

It will mark Martin’s North American race debut following a successful campaign in the Britcar Endurance Championship last year.

Martin is targeting to become the first transgender racer to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, having already raced in Michelin Le Mans Cup action and was the first out trans person to run in the Nürburgring 24 in 2020.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series with Dream Racing,” she said.

“It’s a competitive and thrilling championship and it will be a great challenge and one that I’m very much looking forward to.

“I’ve got to know Jason very well over the past couple of years so it’ll be great to work with him on this program. We’ve enjoyed some positive pre-season testing so I can’t wait to get started.”

Martin has teamed up with Keats, the CEO of OSOM Privacy, for this year’s campaign in the IMSA-sanctioned single-make series.

“Charlie and myself have a really good working relationship and I’m sure that will benefit us throughout the season,” Keats added.

“To see it all come together is exciting for all of us and we’re looking forward to a great season of racing together.”
