Snow Dominates Race 1 at Road Atlanta

Madison Snow claimed a dominant victory in the first Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America race of the weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

The Change Racing driver took his No. 16 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo to a 0.206-second win over Brandon Gdovic’s Precision Performance Motorsports entry, following a late charge by Gdovic in the 50-minute race.

Snow dashed out into an early lead from pole following a slow start by the No. 6 US RaceTronics Lamborghini of Steven Aghakhani, who dropped to third.

A spin by Aghakhani on Lap 6 saw the 17-year-old Californian lose further ground, with co-driver Jake Eidson making a comeback to finish fifth overall and fourth in the Pro class.

Snow’s win has put him back into the provisional lead of the Pro class championship, three points ahead of Aghakhani and Eidson.

An accident for Madison’s brother, McKay Snow dashed hopes of a double victory for the Snow family on Saturday, with Pro-Am class honors going to the No. 24 US RaceTronics Lamborghini of Leo Lamelas.

McKay Snow lost control of his No. 63 Change entry in Turn 6, slamming into the wall with eight minutes to go. The car did not finish the race.

There was late-race drama for the No. 29 Change entry of Victor Gomez as well, with Gomez sustaining a left-front puncture with less than five minutes remaining.

Gomez, the sole Am entry, still picked up top class honors, while the No. 33 US RaceTronics Lamborghini of John Hennessy converted a pole position into a class win in LB Cup.
