Riley Dickinson claimed his first Porsche Carrera Cup North America pole position of the season ahead of today’s opening race of the season at Sebring International Raceway.

The Kellymoss driver, in his return to the single-make series, reeled off a best time of 2:01.689 to edge out the No. 78 Topp Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car of Ryan Yardley by 0.313 seconds.

The 30-minute scheduled session was interrupted with ten minutes to go when the No. 82 JDX Racing Porsche of Madeline Stewart made impact with the Turn 2 barriers.

It resulted in a three-minute shootout that saw Dickinson improve his time by more than a half-second, as well as quicker times from Yardley and Matheus Leist, who qualified third in his No. 47 Nolasport entry.

Mazda MX-5 Cup graduate Aaron Jeansonne was fourth in his No. 24 Kellymoss entry, with Zachary Vanier completing the top-five for JDX Racing.

Tyler Maxson will start sixth in his Topp entry after the No. 8 McCann Racing Porsche of Michael McCann lost all of his qualifying times due to the team working on his car during the red flag.

Pro-Am class pole went to Juan Pablo Martinez in the No. 4 ACI Motorsports Porsche, while Scott Blind was quickest in the Masters class.

Race 1 takes the green flag at 4:55 p.m. EST, with live coverage on IMSA.tv, Peacock and PorscheCarreraCup.us.
