Callum Hedge has been stripped of his victory in Saturday’s Porsche Carrera Cup North America race following a raft of post-race penalties issued by sanctioning body IMSA.

Hedge is one of five drivers to have been given a 28-second penalties, equivalent to a drive-through, for causing collisions.

Updated results were published by IMSA on Sunday afternoon, confirming that the No. 37 JDX Racing entry of Sabre Cook, the No. 6 ACI Motorsports Porsche of Alex Pratt, No. 40 ACI Porsche of Janne Stiak and No. 45 Ruckus Racing Porsche of Scott Blind, have also been handed 28-second time penalties for causing collisions.

Hedge’s penalty, meanwhile, has given points leader Tyler Maxson the victory, and dropped the JDX Racing driver to ninth.

The penalty for Hedge is believed to have been for his contact while battling for the lead with Jared Thomas, which saw the JTR Motorsports Engineering driver get spun around with 26 minutes to go.

It has elevated Paul Bocuse to second overall and Thomas to the Pro class podium in third.

Despite receiving the penalty, Blind has held on to the Masters class win, ahead of JDX driver Kevin Stadtlander.

Sunday’s Race 2 was canceled due to a change in the schedule amid severe weather that has moved up the start of the Formula 1 race by three hours.
