Callum Hedge topped the time sheets in the second Porsche Carrera Cup North America practice session of the weekend in Miami, ahead of the pair of rounds supporting the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
The Kiwi, in his debut at Miami International Autodrome, recorded a best lap of 1:56.712 in his No. 9 JDX Racing Porsche 911 Cup car to outpace points leader Tyler Maxson, in the No. 77 Topp Racing Porsche, by 0.474 seconds.
Janne Stiak was third for ACI Motorsports, with Jared Thomas and Aaron Jeansonne completing the overall top-five and in the Pro class for JTR Motorsports Engineering and Kellymoss, respectively.
ACI Motorsports’ Patrick Mulcahy continued to pace Pro-Am, while Marco Cirone remained on top in the Masters class.
The 30-minute session ran without any notable incidents or red flags.
Qualifying is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EST.
