Parker Thompson held off Riley Dickinson and Kay van Berlo to claim a weekend sweep of Porsche Carrera Cup North America race wins at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

The JDX Racing driver took over the lead on the opening lap of Sunday’s 40-minute contest, getting around pole-sitter Dickinson after starting second on the grid by virtue of best lap times set in Race 1.

Thompson held the position for the remainder of the race, despite heavy pressure at times from Dickinson in the No. 53 Kelly-Moss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. He finished 0.557 seconds ahead of Dickinson.

It marked Thompson’s second win of the season after breaking van Berlo’s four-race win streak on Saturday.

The Dutchman completed the podium in third despite contact between his No. 3 Kelly-Moss Porsche and the No. 6 MDK Motorsports entry of Trenton Estep that resulted in no further action by race control.

Saturday’s runner-up Estep crossed the line in fourth, with Leh Keen completing the top-five in the No. 12 311RS Motorsport Porsche.

Pro-Am class honors went to the No. 65 Kelly-Moss entry of Efrin Castro, who rebounded from an accident on Saturday to take victory.

Castro, who claimed his first class win of the season, held off Curt Swearingin’s ACI Motorsports entry, who reduced the gap in the closing laps.

The No. 16 ACI entry of Pedro Torres finished third in class, meanwhile.

JDX celebrated two class wins on Sunday with the No. 4 entry of Robert Hanley claiming the Am class win.

Hanley finished less than one-second ahead of Race 1 winner Mark Kvamme, with John Goetz completing the class podium in third.
