Kay van Berlo became the first repeat winner in the Pro class of Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by the Cayman Islands following a commanding run in the second race of the day at Circuit of The Americas.

The Dutchman led home a Kelly-Moss Road and Race 1-2 finish in the fourth round of the season ahead of teammate Seb Priaulx in the No. 15 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.

While having led the field to the green, Priaulx lost the lead to van Berlo on Lap 8 after initially jumping out into a nearly three-second advantage in full dry conditions.

Van Berlo, who won Race 2 at Sebring, crossed the line 7.481 seconds ahead of the Multimatic-contracted driver.

The No. 53 Team Hardpoint EBM entry of Riley Dickinson finished third overall and in the Pro class ahead of COTA Race 1 winner Parker Thompson in his JDX Racing machine.

Leh Keen completed the top-five in the No. 12 311RS Motorsport Porsche, meanwhile.

Alan Metni took top honors in Pro-Am in his No. 99 iFly/Kelly-Moss entry, which inherited the Race 1 win after Thomas Collingwood’s post-race penalty due to his BGB Motorsports Porsche exceeding the maximum camber limits.

Collingwood started from the rear of the 25-car field in Sunday’s final race as a result and finished fifth in class.

Matt Halcome, meanwhile, led home a Goldcrest Motorsport 1-2-3 sweep in the Pro-Am 991 class for previous-generation Porsche Cup car machinery.

The 45-minute race ran caution-free.

RESULTS: Race 2
