The team, headed by Stewart Cox, has lodged an entry for the championship, as well as the 83rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
In December the Portuguese team acquired the ex-Thiriet by TDS Racing Ligier. Since then the team has used the car for an intensive testing program in Southern Europe.
“I am extremely pleased with the way the team has gotten to grips with the car and enjoyed learning the dynamics of the Ligier JS P2,” the team’s regular driver Michael Munemann said.
“After four positive days testing, we were fortunate to have a wet day at Valencia. After three long stints on Dunlops, the team were especially encouraged by my performance and left me eager for more time in the car.”
“With five days testing under our belt the car showed great pace, 100% reliability and sensitivity to set up adjustments,” Cox added.
The team will continue its testing program at Motorland Aragon at the end of the month.
Team manager Samantha Cox confirmed that a fair amount of interest has been shown by drivers, but the team has not decided on its final lineup yet. The team hopes to confirm the lineup by the end of this month.
