Nielsen Racing has signed Albert Costa to complete its LMP2 Pro-Am lineup in the European Le Mans Series.
The reigning 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 class winner will share the British squad’s No. 24 Oreca 07 Gibson with Bronze-rated driver John Falb and team regular Colin Noble.
Costa is set to make his ELMS debut with Nielsen, although the Spaniard has a full season of LMP2 racing under his belt after last year’s FIA World Endurance Championship campaign with Inter Europol Competition.
The 33-year-old will embark on a dual program this season, as he was previously confirmed to be joining Manny Franco behind the wheel of a Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 for the full IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship campaign in the GTD class.
Nielsen, meanwhile, finished fourth in last year’s LMP2 Pro-Am standings, picking up three podium finishes and a pair of fourth places from six races.
