CLX Motorsport has revealed that Pipo Derani and Enzo Fittipaldi will join the lineup for its No. 47 crew in this year’s European Le Mans Series.
Brazilian pair Derani and Fittipaldi will join the previously-confirmed Manuel Espirito Santo aboard the Swiss outfit’s No. 47 Oreca 07 Gibson for the six-round series that kicks off in April with the 4 Hours of Barcelona.
Derani joins the ELMS following his exit from Cadillac and the Action Express Racing IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship team at the end of last season, and will combine his new duties with his role as a development driver for Genesis’s LMDh project.
He last raced in the championship back in 2014, when he made two starts in the LMP2 class for Murphy Prototypes.
“I’m thrilled to join CLX Motorsport for the ELMS season,” Derani wrote on social media. “It’s a privilege to race for [CLX team director] Nico Lapierre, a great friend and someone I deeply respect.
“We’ve already shared success together, winning the 12 Hours of Sebring, and I’m honored to now be part of his team.
“I’m also grateful to Genesis for their support in this 2025 program. It’s the perfect opportunity to stay sharp and prepare for 2026.”
Fittpaldi, meanwhile, makes the switch to sports car racing from single-seaters, having raced in FIA Formula 2 for the past three seasons and scoring two race wins.
The grandson of two-time Formula 1 champion Emerson and younger brother of Pietro finished 15th in last year’s standings driving for Van Amersfoort Racing.
Espirito Santo makes the step up to LMP2 competition with the rebranded CLX squad, having raced for the team in LMP3 last year, when it was known as COOL Racing.
The announcement completes CLX’s lineup for the new ELMS season, with its No. 37 car being piloted by Tom Blomqvist, Harry King and Alex Malykhin.
