Ibanez Racing’s two-car Oreca 03R-Nissan effort for the European Le Mans Series will carry the Wolf chassis nameplate, as part of a new long-term partnership with Italian manufacturer, the team confirmed Friday. (En Français)
The ex-Delta ADR cars will be run as Wolf GB08 Nissans in the five-round championship, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, pending entries.
“We received permission from ORECA to [rename] the chassis,” Wolf’s Ivan Bellarosa said. “It was also made in agreement with the FIA and ACO. The two chassis will be called Wolf GB08.”
The Jose Ibanez-led organization, which re-enters ELMS competition this year, serves as the distributor of Wolf Racing Cars in France.
Ibanez’s complete lineup has yet to be announced but will include Bellarosa, Jose Ibanez and Pierre Perret. Ex-Formula One driver Jaime Alguersuari tested with the team last week.
Wolf, meanwhile, plans to debut an all-new LMP2 coupe, the GB08 Tornado, in 2016.
