With only a handful of days to go until track action begins at the Red Bull Ring, Sébastien Loeb Racing confirmed it will not take part in the Four Hours of Red Bull Ring.

The French team has decided to skip the third round of the European Le Mans Series, despite a second place finish in the previous round of the European Le Mans Series at Imola and a fourth place at Le Mans.

The team’s Oreca 03 Nissan is expected to return to the series for the penultimate round at Paul Ricard in September. The Audi R8 LMS ultra is unlikely to return.

NewBlood by Morand Racing has strengthened its driver lineup for the Austrian round of the European Le Mans Series. French driver Pierre Ragues will join Christian Klien and Gary Hirsch in the No. 43 Morgan-Judd.

“What we wanted with Pierre is not only quickness but the ability to battle for the win so we can remain in contention for the 2014 title,” said team owner Benoit Morand.

“This new line-up with him, Christian and Gary probably is the best we could find.”

IMSA Performance Matmut has also reshuffled its driver lineup for the Four Hours of Red Bull Ring, with Christina Nielsen replacing David Hallyday in the team’s No. 76 Porsche.

Nielsen, who finished third and fifth in the two Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend, will join Nicolas Armindo and Raymond Narac.
