Matthieu Vaxiviere is set to replace Bruno Senna in RLR MSport’s LMP2 driver lineup for the upcoming European Le Mans Series round at Silverstone (en Français).
Senna is concentrating on this weekend’s FIA World Endurance Championship season-opener, which the Brazilian is contesting with the Rebellion Racing LMP1 squad.
His unavailability for the British round of the ELMS was confirmed when he was announced as part of RLR MSport’s 2019 lineup back in January.
The situation has prompted the team to bring in Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring runner-up Vaxiviere for Saturday’s four-hour contest, according to Endurance-Info.
The Frenchman, who currently drives for the R-Motorsport Aston Martin squad in Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, will share the No. 43 Oreca 07 Gibson with John Farano and Arjun Maini.
Vaxiviere was a part of TDS Racing’s Oreca LMP2 driver lineup in last season’s WEC, which ended at Le Mans in June, but does not have a full-time drive for 2019-20.
The 24-year-old is set to make his first ELMS appearance since the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring last season, over 12 months ago.
