IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship regulars Nick Yelloly and Louis Deletraz will return to European Le Mans Series action at Imola this weekend after a clash with Laguna Seca forced them to miss the previous Paul Ricard event.
Yelloly will again team up with Tom Dillmann and Kuba Smiechowski at the wheel of the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07 Gibson in Italy fresh from the trio’s LMP2 class win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier this month.
Luca Ghiotto took the Briton’s place at Paul Ricard where the Inter Europol car finished seventh meaning it sits seventh in the overall championship, 24 points behind the No. 22 United Autosports entry of Ben Hanley, Griffin Peebles and Gregoire Saucy that leads the way.
Deletraz will also be back on ELMS duty at Imola in the No. 99 AO by TF Pro-Am entry, taking over from substitute Jonny Edgar alongside Dane Cameron and PJ Hyett, as the crew occupies sixth in the class standings.
There are no other changes among the LMP2 ranks in the 47-car entry for Imola, but there are a couple more tweaks in LMP3.
Michelin Le Mans Cup racer Louis Iglesias will take the place of Bruno Ribeiro in the No. 17 CLX Motorsport Ligier JS P325 Toyota that sits eighth in the class leaderboard, 26 points behind the No. 13 Inter Europol Ligier that leads the way.
The No. 6 M Racing Ligier will also only feature two drivers at Imola with Quentin Antonel absent to leave just Thomas Imbourg and Nick Adcock at the wheel.
Among the LMGT3 ranks, Harry King will return aboard the No. 77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo having been another driver affected by the Laguna Seca clash at Paul Ricard, where the Briton was replaced by Joel Sturm.
Thomas Preining will be absent at Imola as he will be contesting the DTM at the Norisring this weekend, so his place aboard the No. 54 High Class Racing Porsche will be taken by Klaus Bachler as that car has its third different lineup from the opening three events.
The LMGT3 points are headed by the No. 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo of Mathys Jaubert, Daniel Serra and Takeshi Kimura that won last time out at Paul Ricard.
