Fifty cars are listed on the provisional entry list for the third edition of Road to Le Mans in June, including 42 LMP3 entries.
The event is part of the Michelin Le Mans Cup, which has also seen increased grid numbers this season, and goes from 42 cars last year to 50 with a combined grid of LMP3 and GT3 machinery.
ENTRY LIST: Road to Le Mans
The grid comprises all full-season Le Mans Cup entries as well as guests invited by a selection committee, with priority given to teams in the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Most cars have two drivers and the regulations require one to be Bronze-rated with a maximum of a Gold co-driver.
The LMP3 field includes entries from three manufacturers – Ligier, Norma and Ginetta – and the likes of Colin Braun, Sean Rayhall, Andy Meyrick and Michele Rugolo.
Six Ferrari 488 GT3s, a Ferrari 458 GT3 and a single Porsche 911 GT3 R make up the GT3 field, while Giacomo Piccini, Andrea Piccini and Marco Cioci are amongst the driving talent.
The event will include two 55-minute races during the build-up to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with one on the evening of Thursday, June 14, and the other on Saturday June 16, prior to the start of the endurance class.
Two practice sessions of 60 minutes each and two 20-minute qualifying sessions will also take place on the Thursday.
