Nathanaël Berthon has parted ways G-Drive Racing with immediate effect, it was announced on Thursday.

The 27 year-old driver had formed part of the team’s LMP2 line-up in the FIA World Endurance Championship so far this season.

Alongside René Rast and Roman Rusinov, he scored 3rd and 5th place class finishes at the two races so far in 2016, driving the team’s Oreca 05 Nissan.

He was set to compete with G-Drive at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this month, and the pre-event test day on Sunday.

“I would like to thank Nathanaël for his efforts with the team in 2016,” said G-Drive Racing’s David Clark.

“We achieved two solid results in the first races at Silverstone and Spa and he showed he can be part of a front running team and we wish him every success in the future.”
