Matt Campbell and Dane Cameron will swap seats and series next year, with Porsche Penske Motorsport having confirmed its driver lineups for the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship seasons.

WeatherTech Championship race winner Campbell, who teamed with Felipe Nasr in the No. 7 Porsche 963 this year, will move to the WEC full time, taking Cameron’s seat in the No. 5 entry alongside Fred Makowiecki and Michael Christensen.

Three-time IMSA champion Cameron, meanwhile, will return Stateside for a full season campaign with Nasr.

The lineups in the other two Porsches in both series remain unchanged, with Laurens Vanthoor, Andre Lotterer and Kevin Estre back in the No. 6 entry in the WEC with Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy paired again together in the No. 6 Porsche in the WeatherTech Championship.

As previously confirmed by IMSA, Vanthoor and Estre will complete the No. 6 car’s lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with Campbell and Josef Newgarden in the No. 7 Porsche for the WeatherTech Championship season opener.

The announcement was made during Saturday’s Porsche “Night of Champions” event in Weissach.

“We’ve made a logical change in our driver squad,” said Head of Porsche Motorsport Thomas Laudenbach. “Our goal continues to be to optimize the overall package for contesting the two major championships.

“This applies to the vehicle and the team processes as well as the cockpit crews.

“Last season we fought for the title in the IMSA series until the last race. Our expectations for 2024 are high: we want to lead the way in North America, Le Mans and the FIA WEC.”

Porsche Penske, which scored a season-high three victories in the WeatherTech Championship last season, will be seeking its breakthrough first win in WEC competition in 2024 after a season dominated by Toyota Gazoo Racing.
