While the FIA World Endurance Championship doesn’t return to official action until the end of next month, the majority of teams will be taking part in a mid-summer open test at the Nürburgring to prepare for the championship’s first-ever visit to Germany.

A total of 20 cars are expected for the two-day test, hosted by Toyota, on July 27-28, which will include a media day featuring series executives, drivers and team personnel.

An official entry list is not expected to be released, although it’s understood the test will include four LMP1 cars, six LMP2 entries, six GTE-Pro and four GTE-Am cars.

Among the teams and manufacturers represents will be Toyota, Audi, Porsche, KCMG and Dempsey Proton Racing.

The FIA WEC Six Hours of the Nürburgring is scheduled for Aug. 28-30.
