Kessel Racing has lost its second place GTE-Am class finish in the 6 Hours of Fuji due to Full Course Yellow infringements that impacted nine other cars in Sunday’s FIA World Endurance Championship round.

The No. 57 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo driven by Takeshi Kimura, Scott Huffaker and Ritomo Miyata has been demoted to a third place finish as a result of a ten-second post-race time penalty due to Miyata not reducing his speed to 80 km/h within the required time while under the FCY in the final 20 minutes of the race.

It has promoted the No. 33 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R of Ben Keating, Nico Varrone and Nicky Catsburg to second in class.

Additional cars to have received ten-second post-race penalties were the No. 38 Hertz Team JOTA Porsche 963 of Yifei Ye, the Tomonobu Fujii-driven No. 777 D’station Racing Aston Martin Vantage GTE and the No. 93 Peugeot 9X8 of Jean-Eric Vergne, all for the same infraction.

Six other cars, including the runner-up finishing No. 8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid and fourth-placed No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari 499P were found by the stewards to be speeding while under FCY but received no further action.
