Ferrari locked out the top two positions in Sunday’s warm-up ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Robert Kubica topping the times in the No. 83 AF Corse car.
Kubica laid down a time of 3:26.908 to top the 15-minute session by 0.123 seconds from Antonio Fuoco in the factory No. 50 Ferrari 499P.
The two Ferrari drivers were some two seconds clear of third-place Mike Conway in the No. 7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid.
Alex Riberas put the No. 009 Aston Martin Valkyrie fourth, only a further 0.049 seconds slower than Conway, while next up were the two Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA cars, Earl Bamber in the No. 38 leading the No. 12 of Will Stevens.
Only 13 of the 21 Hypercars in the field set representative lap times.
While the session was largely drama-free, Jack Aitken suffered a scare at the Forest Esses in the No. 311 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series.R, rejoining the track after a trip through the gravel and a subsequent stoppage that caused a brief full-course yellow.
The No. 311 Cadillac later returned to the track but did not set a time.
In LMP2, Job van Uitert set the pace in the No. 28 IDEC Sport Oreca 07 Gibson with a benchmark time of 3:38.589.
Andre Lotterer was second fastest in the sister Genesis Magma Racing-supported No. 18 IDEC car, seven tenths back, while class polewinner Mathias Beche was third aboard the No. 29 TDS Racing Oreca.
Ferrari also led the way in LMGT3 with the No. 57 Kessel Racing car leading the way on a 3:57.681 set by Daniel Serra, narrowly beating Davide Rigon in the No. 54 car.
Charlie Eastwood put the No. 81 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R third in class.
The 93rd running of the 24H Le Mans begins at 4 p.m. local time (10 a.m. EST).
