Manthey will run a Chip Hart Racing livery on its third LMGT3 entry in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, bringing back a color scheme that was previously used in filming for the movie ‘F1’ starring Brad Pitt.
The predominantly blue livery was last seen adorning a Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R during last year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, where it was used as part of filming for the Joseph Kosinski-directed film that is set for an international theatrical release on June 25.
In the movie, Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes drives for the fictional Chip Hart stable at Daytona before he is drafted back into Formula 1.
At Le Mans, the No. 90 Porsche is set to be piloted by Antares Au, Loek Hartog and Klaus Bachler as part of an expanded, three-car entry for Manthey.
The German powerhouse squad earned an extra grid slot after Au won the Asian Le Mans Series GT title alongside Joel Sturm and Klaus Bachler.
The third car comes in addition to the pair of full season FIA World Endurance Championship entries for Manthey, including the No. 85 Iron Dames machine piloted by Celia Martin, Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting.
The all-female crew revealed a one-off livery of its own on Wednesday.
