The FIA World Endurance Championship has applied several changes to the Hypercar Balance of Performance for Monza ahead of Peugeot’s series debut with the 9X8.

The Toyota GR010 Hybrid, the Glickenhaus 007 Pipo and the Alpine A480 Gibson have all received weight and power adjustments ahead of this weekend’s six-hour race in Italy, alongside the starting BoP for the pair of Peugeots, per an official technical bulletin.

Peugeot has been given a minimum weight of 1079 kg for its four-wheel-drive, hybrid-powered LMH car, and a maximum stint energy allowance of 909 megajoules.

The activation point for the Peugeot 9X8’s 200 kW electric motor has been set at 150 km/h compared with the unchanged 190 km/h for the pair of Toyotas.

The maximum power output of the Peugeot has been set at 515 kW (around 690 horsepower) which is the second-highest in the Hypercar class.

The non-hybrid, LMH-spec Glickenhaus has received a 13 kW (17.5 hp) power increase since the 24 Hours of Le Mans and now stands at 533 kW (714.5 hp).

Toyota has been given a smaller 7 kW power increase for Monza, taking the Japanese manufacturer to 513 kW (688 hp). It is the first power-based change for Toyota this year.

Alpine’s ORECA-built, non-hybrid LMP1 car will have an extra 11 kW available compared with Le Mans, putting the much lighter French car at 428 kW (574 hp) this weekend.

It marks the fifth power adjustment for the Alpine this season after it was handed a 20 kW reduction following its victory at the season-opening 1000 Miles of Sebring.

Half of that was regained before the Le Mans test day, followed by a further 7 kW during race week and a 10 kW reduction after Hyperpole that took it to 417 kW for the race.

The Alpine has also been given a 42 MJ increase in stint energy for Monza, which brings it roughly to the same allowance it had for the last round before Le Mans at Spa.

Toyota and Glickenhaus have gained 7 MJ and 11 MJ respectively in the stint energy department.

There has also been a 1 kg weight increase for the Toyota which will be 8 kg lighter than the Peugeot for the two manufacturers’ first race against each other in the WEC.

Ferrari Gets Power Increase in GTE

The Ferrari 488 GTE Evos will arrive at Monza with higher turbo boost pressures than what they had for Spa, according to the GTE Balance of Performance table.

An increase of 0.06 bar across the full RPM range has been applied to the factory GTE-Pro Ferraris, while the customer-driven GTE-Am cars have an extra 0.04 bar.

That comes alongside a three-liter fuel capacity increase in both categories.

The only other change in the GTE BoP is a two-liter raise in fuel capacity for all Porsche 911 RSR-19s at Monza, reversing a reduction applied after Sebring.

There have been no changes to the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R and the Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

The BoP process in the GTE categories is different at Le Mans, meaning that the changes for Monza are relevant compared with the last ‘standard’ WEC event at Spa.
