ORECA has revealed the first images of its new LMP2 contender, the Oreca 07, which will begin on-track testing later this week.

The French constructor’s car is an evolution of its existing Oreca 05, but features all-new bodywork and other significant updates.

Existing teams will be able to purchase an upgrade kit, understood to cost upwards of 200,000 Euros, to transform their cars into 2017-spec.

It will be eligible in the FIA World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with a number of teams, including DragonSpeed and JDC-Miller Motorsports having confirmed orders.

The Oreca 07 is the third of the four new 2017-spec LMP2 cars to break cover, following the formal presentation of the Ligier JS P17 at Spa last month and spy shots of the Dallara LMP2 appearing in Autosprint Magazine earlier this month.
