European Le Mans Series regular Panis Racing has confirmed its LMP2 driver lineup for next month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The French trio of Mattieu Vaxiviere, Julien Canal and Nico Jamin will share the French squad’s Goodyear-shod Oreca 07 Gibson in the race on September 19-20.

Canal and Jamin drive for Panis Racing on a full-time basis in ELMS, while their usual co-driver Will Stevens will be driving at Le Mans for FIA World Endurance Championship LMP2 squad Jackie Chan DC Racing.

This has prompted the Olivier Panis-led outfit call on Vaxiviere who finished third in class during last year’s edition of the race with TDS Racing.

Triple Le Mans GT category winner and 2017 WEC LMP2 champion Canal is set for his 11th Le Mans and his third appearance in the event with Panis Racing, which is entering with the Oreca for the first time having run a Ligier JS P217 Gibson in recent years.

Jamin made his Le Mans debut last year with Duqueine Engineering, while Vaxiviere has three previous entries to his name with fellow French LMP2 outfit TDS.

Vaxiviere previously drove for the Tech 1 Racing team, which is behind the Panis Racing LMP2 effort, in junior single-seaters.
