Akkodis ASP Team has named Clemens Schmid and Finn Gehrsitz as the two final drivers for its Lexus LMGT3 lineup in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Schmid and Gehrsitz, both Silver-rated, will each pilot one of the French squad’s Lexus RC F GT3s for the eight-round championship, starting with next month’s Qatar season opener.

Gehrsitz, 20, makes his WEC debut after a season racing with Absolute Corse in GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS and also has previous experience in the European Le Mans Series, ADAC GT Masters and the Asian Le Mans Series.

The German will share the No. 78 car with Arnold Robin and Ben Barnicoat, while the returning Schmid will drive the sister No.  87 machine alongside Razvan Umbrarescu and Jose Maria Lopez.

Schmid already completed a partial campaign with ASP last year, stepping into the lineup at Spa, COTA and Fuji.
