Porsche has continued to lead the way at Fuji, with the German manufacturer ending up quickest in Free Practice 3.

Mark Webber topped the time charts in Saturday morning’s 60-minute session, thanks to a 1:23.570 lap time in the No. 17 Porsche 919 Hybrid.

The Australian’s lap as 0.383 seconds quicker than the sister No. 18 entry driven by Neel Jani in second.

The No. 7 Audi R18 e-tron quattro was a further one-second adrift in third, ahead of the pair of Toyota TS040 Hybrids, which completed the top-five.

Gear selection issues for the No. 8 Audi, which was seen in the garage, resulted in the Loic Duval, Lucas Di Grassi and Oliver Jarvis-driven machine in sixth, nearly three seconds behind the pace-setting Porsche, after only completing 18 laps.

Strakka Racing (LMP2), Porsche North America (GTE-Pro) and Dempsey Proton Racing (GTE-Am) led the respective classes.

No major incidents were reported, other than the No. 13 Rebellion R-One AER stopping on track just as the checkered flag was waved.

Qualifying gets underway at 1:40 p.m. local time.
