The No. 20 Team WRT BMW M Hybrid V8 will be sporting an updated livery for its primary sponsor Shell Helix at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Revealed on Thursday ahead of this weekend’s Le Mans test day, the FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar points-leading entry of Rene Rast and Robin Frijns, who will be joined again by Sheldon van der Linde, features a more prominent red and yellow color scheme, similar to that seen on Shell-sponsored BMW GT3 cars.
The driving trio are coming off a breakthrough first Hypercar victory in last month’s 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
WRT’s No. 15 BMW of Dries Vanthoor, Raffaele Marciello and Kevin Magnussen will remain in the traditional BMW colors for next weekend’s French endurance classic.
The No. 20 livery is the third special Le Mans design for the Belgian squad, which has all-new liveries on both its No. 32 and No. 69 BMW M4 GT3 EVOs in the LMGT3 class as well.
