Felipe Fraga has put Black Falcon on pole for this weekend’s Hankook 24H COTA, in a dominant 1-2-3 effort by Mercedes-AMG GT3 machinery.

The Brazilian reeled off a 2:05.697 lap time in WeatherTech-sponsored Mercedes early in the 45-minute GT qualifying for the 24H Continents season finale.

Despite a series of laps from teammate Jeroen Bleekemolen, Silver-rated Fraga’s time held up for pole.

The pairing will be joined by Ben Keating and Cooper MacNeil in the race tomorrow.

Nick Foster put the No. 70 Toksport WRT Mercedes second on the grid and first in the A6-Am class, ahead of the sister car of Luca Stolz, who is one of four cars competing in the A6-Pro class for outright honors this weekend.

The No. 73 VOLT Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R was fourth in the hands of last-minute substitute Jan Heylen, with the No. 91 Herberth Motorsport Porsche completing the top-five overall.

SPX class pole honors went to the No. 710 Black Falcon Team Textar entry, which is running a GT4-based Mercedes-AMG GT4, while the No. 906 Kelly-Moss Road and Race Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car took 991 class honors.

The No. 433 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4, meanwhile, grabbed the GT4 pole.

Part 1 of the race gets underway Saturday at 11:30 a.m. CT and runs through 10:30 p.m., with the race resuming Sunday at 8 a.m. for the race to the checkered flag.
