Circuit Paul Ricard will return to the Michelin 24H Series calendar for the first time since 2021, replacing Portimao as part of a five-race European season.

The Le Castellet venue will host a twelve-hour race on July 4-5, thus forming the penultimate round of a schedule that kicks off at Mugello and finishes at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Paul Ricard first appeared on Creventic’s calendar in 2015 and hosted a trio of 24-hour event before dropping off the schedule after 2017. It then returned as a twelve-hour event in 2021, which was won by Herberth Motorsport.

The circuit will again host a twelve-hour contest upon its return to the series next year. By replacing Portimao, which hosted a 24-hour race this year, the European calendar will only feature one twice-around-the-clock race in the form of the season-ending Michelin 24H Barcelona.

The Paul Ricard event takes Misano’s July slot on the calendar, with the event at the Italian circuit moving to May 23-24 instead.

The rest of the European season features no significant changes, with events at Mugello and Spa-Francorchamps taking place on the same weekends as this year.

Meanwhile, the Michelin 24H Dubai is set to once again form the traditional season opener on Jan. 10-12, followed by a six-hour race at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit one week later. The two events form the Middle East Trophy.

“We’re very pleased to confirm that the Michelin 12H Mugello and the Michelin 24H Barcelona – two of our most popular events – will once again be the backbone of our European calendar in 2025,” said Creventic team relations manager Helen Roukens.

“We’re also excited to welcome back the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and Circuit Paul Ricard for our first season officially supported by Michelin Tires.

“We’re very confident these world class venues will provide competitors with the action and sporting challenges many have come to expect from the 24H Series.”
