Team WRT will aim for a third consecutive victory in the Hankook 24H Dubai, fielding a two-car BMW effort in the Middle Eastern enduro.

Although the Belgian squad was not listed on the 67-car provisional entry list released last week, it confirmed on Tuesday that it will be fielding a pair of BMW M4 GT3s with driver lineups to be confirmed at a later stage.

The Vincent Vosse-led team won the previous two editions of the event, most recently claiming victory earlier this year with an M4 GT3 driven by Mohammed Al Saud, Diego Menchaca, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer, Jens Klingmann and Dries Vanthoor.

A potential fourth victory for WRT, adding to previous triumphs in 2016, 2022 and 2023, would move the team closer to record holder Black Falcon, which won the event five times.

WRT’s inclusion brings the number of M4 GT3s entered into the event thus far to five, joining a two-car effort from Century Motorsport as well as the returning ST Racing squad.

The opening round for the 24H Series powered by Hankook takes place on January 12-14 2024.
