Dennis Olsen and Thomas Preining will drive for Manthey EMA’s two-car Porsche effort in DTM this year.

The operation, a partnership between Meuspath-based Porsche stalwarts Manthey Racing and Australian team EMA Motorsport, will field a pair of Type-992 Porsche 911 GT3 Rs.

Olsen will drive car No. 90 while Preining is set to compete behind the wheel of car No. 91, with race liveries for both cars to be revealed at a later date.

Both drivers come into their sophomore DTM campaigns as race winners. Preining, driving for KÜS Team Bernhard, secured his maiden victory in an incident-filled race at the Norisring and followed that up with a second win at the Red Bull Ring.

“I’m super happy and looking forward to the upcoming DTM season with Manthey EMA,” said Preining.

“I already got to know the team last year at the eighth NLS round and especially at the 12 Hours of Bathurst: the crew is highly professional and the chemistry is right.

“We are all very motivated. I’m looking forward to the season with confidence and can’t wait for it to finally start.”

Olsen, meanwhile, stood on the top step of the series for the first time at Spa-Francorchamps with SSR Performance.

“I’m thrilled to be competing for Manthey EMA in the DTM this year,” Olsen added.

“I’ve already worked with the team and I know how well things work at Manthey. This is topped off by the new generation Porsche 911 GT3 R.

“For me, this is exactly the right starting point to race at the highest level in the DTM. I’m looking forward to the start of the season!”

Olsen and Preining have both raced for Manthey before, with Olsen completing multiple editions of Nürburgring 24 with them while Preining was part of the lineup that recently delivered Manthey EMA an overall podium at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

“We are very delighted to be competing in the DTM this year,” commented Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH.

“After concentrating a lot on racing the Porsche 911 RSR in the WEC together with Porsche Motorsport and our entries on the Nordschleife in recent years, we are ready for a new project with EMA Motorsport.

“A big thank you goes to our sponsors who support this commitment. Our team is strongly positioned and highly motivated.

“With Dennis Olsen and Thomas Preining, we have two drivers with DTM experience behind the wheel.

“I’m excited about what this motorsport year has in store for us.”
