Mirko Bortolotti and Franck Perera headline SSR Performance’s Lamborghini effort in DTM as the German squad switches brands from Porsche.

The team will field three Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2s for its second full season in the GT3 sprint series.

It marks a departure from Porsche, which the team had been exclusively aligned with since its racing debut in 2020.

The relationship between the team and the Weissach manufacturer remained as it moved from ADAC GT Masters to DTM and scored a first victory in the series with Dennis Olsen at Spa-Francorchamps.

Now, Lamborghini factory drivers Bortolotti and Perera pilot the No. 92 and No. 94 cars, respectively.

Bortolotti will combine his DTM program with a full-season LMP2 campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Prema, while Perera will dovetail his involvement with a recently confirmed K-PAX Racing effort in Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

Alessio Deledda joins Bortolotti in moving across from GRT Grasser Racing Team to complete the three-car squad for his sophomore season in GT3 racing.

“We are taking on our next challenge,” said team owner Stefan Schlund.

“I love a challenge and am all the happier with the new partnership with Lamborghini.

“Together with Giorgio Sanna, we have put together a fantastic package for Lamborghini and SSR Performance.

“Our line-up of Mirko Bortolotti, Franck Perera and Alessio Deledda is an excellent one.

‘There is a lot of hard work to do over the coming weeks and months.

“We want to achieve success and score valuable points towards the championship from race one.”

Lamborghini is represented by two teams on the grid for DTM’s first season under ADAC ownership, with Grasser Racing Team also confirmed as part of the 13-team entry on Wednesday.

“It is fantastic to have found such a professional, successful and extremely committed team as SSR Performance for a strategic collaboration,” said Giorgio Sanna, Lamborghini Head of Motorsport.

“The high technical level with regard to racing and production cars has impressed us from the outset, and we are looking forward to the first DTM race together at the end of May.”
