Eighteen of the confirmed entries are in the GT3 class, with a further 12 GT3 cars as reserved entries. Teams on the reserved list will have to confirm their entry by August 31 at the latest.
The entry capped to 40 cars class-wide, spread over five categories: GT3, GTX, Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Cup and CN2. Right now three GTX cars, two Ferraris, one Porsche Cup and six CN2 cars have been confirmed.
The Audi R8 LMS Cup has also been confirmed as a support series, the Abu Dhabi round replacing the now cancelled DTM support race in China.
It will join the Maserati Trofeo World Series on the support bill.
The Gulf 12 Hours is scheduled for Dec. 11-12.
