Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed will contest this weekend’s Nürburgring 24 with a special livery paying homage to the German circuit’s famous ‘Green Hell’ nickname.
The green and black scheme, designed by the artist Andrew Myrto and nicknamed ‘Beast of the Green Hell’, was revealed at the Nürburgring on Wednesday.
It will feature on the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo driven by the factory lineup of Jules Gounon, Daniel Juncadella and Maro Engel.
GetSpeed Performance is local to the Nordschleife as one of several N24 teams based in Meuspath, the industrial village located beside the Dottinger Hohe straight.
It claimed a double podium for Mercedes-AMG in last year’s race, finishing behind Audi Sport Team Phoenix.
“We’re proud to start with this extraordinary design,” said GetSpeed team manager Adam Osieka.
“Our roots are also in the Green Hell, where we had our first successes exactly ten years ago.
“We have also been closely linked to Mercedes-AMG since 2019, so we have now come full circle.”
GetSpeed has retained its driver lineups from last year’s N24, with the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG being driven by Adam Christodoulou, Fabian Schiller and Maximilian Goetz.
Haupt Racing Team is also fielding two factory-supported cars and has signed ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race winner Edoardo Mortara to its operation.
Mortara, who competes for Maserati MSG Racing in the electric open-wheel series, will share the No. 4 Bilstein-backed car with Mercedes-AMG factory drivers Raffaele Marciello, Luca Stolz and Philip Ellis.
The Swiss driver is set for his first N24 appearance since 2018 when he represented Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport.
