Manthey Racing will return to the Nürburgring 24 this year with a new lineup for its lead No. 911 car that includes four drivers with affiliations to the Porsche brand.

The ‘Grello’ liveried Porsche 911 GT3 R will be driven by the manufacturer’s two youngest factory drivers, Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet, as well as factory Young Professional Julien Andlauer and experienced production car test driver Lars Kern.

Campbell and Jaminet shared a Frikadelli Racing Porsche in last year’s edition of the Eifel enduro, while Kern drove Manthey’s No. 12 car that finished fourth overall.

Andlauer, meanwhile, is set to take part in his first Nürburgring 24.

Michael Christensen, Laurens Vanthoor, Kevin Estre and Earl Bamber, who were Manthey’s No. 911 drivers last year, are representing Frikadelli this time around.

The quartet dominated the 2019 race for Manthey until a late penalty cost them the win, while their car was later stripped of second place for exceeding its power limit.

The team entered three cars in the previous edition, including two distinctive ‘Grello’ Porsches, although the red and white Pro-Am No. 12 machine finished best of the group.

The Campbell/Jaminet/Andlauer/Kern car, which is also set to contest some NLS (formerly VLN) series races, is the only Manthey Nürburgring entry to be confirmed so far.
