In July Hans Reiter told Sportscar365 that Reiter was set to continue with the Gallardo and introduce an upgrade package for 2015
The new Gallardo Extenso that was revealed today will not only feature a significantly wider rear, new headlights and rear lights, but also updated engine sound.
Carbon fiber rear panels will replace the aluminum panels, while the rear axle track width has been increased by 13 cm, resulting in better handling.
“The surprising and at the same time overwhelming popularity of our SaReNi Camaro GT3 showed us that for motorsport fans at least a great sound and aggressive looks are crucial for a GT racecar,” Hans Reiter said.
“The Reiter Gallardo Extenso must and will portray these features more predominantly. With this in mind, the sound development is at the top of the new specifications along with the visual packaging.”
Ten Reiter Gallardo Extenso cars will be built for customers next year. The car will be available for $309,600 (€248,000), including a 24 hours kit.
The Gallardo Extenso GT3 is set to race in the Blancpain GT Series and the Pirelli World Challenge, as well as the newly launched SRO GT Sports Club.
