Richard Göransson escaped injury following a serious accident in testing Saturday at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in preparation for the start of the VLN season.
The Swedish driver lost control of his Rowe Racing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 under unexpected wet conditions at Flügplatz, sending the gull-winged beast up and over the tire barriers and clipping a marshall’s post.
While the car was severely damaged, there were no reported injuries from the scene.
The VLN season kicks off next weekend.
