This new, weekly feature on Sportscar365 will provide results of countless other championships around the world. This week we will kick off with the GT Open Winter Series.

GT Open Winter Series
The GT Open Winter Series raced at Paul Ricard HTTT, following a test-only weekend in Jerez last month. SMP Racing Russian Bears dominated race 1. The Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 of Roman Mavlanov and Daniel Zampieri won after 23 laps, beating the sister car by more than 12 seconds.

In race 2 the gaps were much smaller as father and son Talkanitsa beat Ombra Racing’s Mario Cordoni and Stefano Gattuso by just four tenths of a second. The SMP Ferrari’s finished in third and fourth, one second behind the race winners. Six cars fought for the race win on the final laps, with Talkanitsa Jr. taking the lead on the penultimate lap.

Race 1 – 1. SMP Racing Russian Bears (Roman Mavlanov/Daniel Zampieri) Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, 2. SMP Racing Russian Bears (Vyacheslav Maleev/Jose Perez Aicart) Ferrari 458 Italia, 3. AF Corse (Alexander Talkanitsa Sr/Alexander Talkanitsa Jr) Ferrari 458 Italia GTE).

Race 2 – 1. AF Corse (Alexander Talkanitsa Sr/Alexander Talkanitsa Jr) Ferrari 458 Italia GTE), 2. Ombra Racing (Mario Cordoni/Stefano Gattuso) Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, 3. SMP Racing Russian Bears (Roman Mavlanov/Daniel Zampieri) Ferrari 458 Italia GT3.
