The Maxi Endurance 32 was announced today, an event that is scheduled to now take place at Portimao from Dec. 12-14.

It is the same weekend as the established Gulf 12 Hours event at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Several categories of cars will be eligible in the Maxi 32, including Maxi Prototype (CN), Maxi GT (GT2 and GT3), Maxi Cup (older GT3s) and Cup (Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati), Maxi Sport (GT3 Cup Challenge), Maxi Touring and Diesel.

Teams can run between three to five drivers in each lineup, with a maximum continuous drive time of two hours.
