Lemons of Love, a nonprofit organization benefiting cancer patients, is raffling off a Mazda Global MX-5 Cup car, along with a range of other prizes, in its latest promotion to help brighten the lives of those going through chemotherapy.
Following the success of its first Global MX-5 Cup car giveaway last year, which was won by former series competitor Drake Kemper, a second car, courtesy of Mazda and Long Road Racing, will be raffled off at next month’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Tickets are available for $100 per entry until March 17, when Mazda Motorsports Director John Doonan will randomly select this year’s winner.
Lemons of Love is also giving the winning ticket holder a F.A.S.T. driver cooling system, a season’s supply of Pagid brakes, a PRO Series Model Bell helmet, G-Force 745 driver’s suit, a Battery Tender charger, as well as a year’s subscription to RACER Magazine.
Founded by Fresh Air Systems Technologies (F.A.S.T.) owner Jill Swanson Peltier, a cancer survivor, Lemons of Love provides chemo-care packages to cancer patients nationwide.
A number of teams in the Global MX-5 Cup paddock and other sports car racing series have thrown their support behind the charity, including Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and Pirelli World Challenge driver Sarah Montgomery.
