Ferrari and Mercedes-AMG have revealed their final set of nominated drivers for the inaugural Blancpain GT World Challenge, choosing drivers to score points in the European races.
The two manufacturers have nominated four drivers to score World Challenge points in each of the SRO’s continental GT3 sprint series in America, Asia and Europe.
Platinum-rated Andrea Bertolini will lead Ferrari’s charge in Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe, and will be joined by Silver-graded David Perel.
Two Bronze drivers, Rinat Salikhov and Louis Machiels, will complete the Italian manufacturer’s roster.
Reigning Blancpain GT champion Raffaele Marciello will serve as Mercedes-AMG’s Platinum-graded driver, meanwhile.
Luca Stolz (Gold), Thomas Neubauer (Silver) and Jean-Luc Beaubelique (Bronze) will also score points.
The European nominated drivers are the last to be selected, with the first round of Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe set to take place at Brands Hatch on May 4-5.
The first rounds of the American and Asian series have already taken place.
Mercedes-AMG currently holding the points lead over Ferrari, with the German manufacturer on 1392 points to Ferrari’s 1388.
Exact details of the points system are yet to be communicated, with different series paying different points but needing to be equalized throughout the season.
